Cold Steel is one of our new Manufactures and we have added their "Recon 1®" tactical folders to our large selection of products. The Recon 1® tactical folders are setting a standard that's hard to beat. Why, Because they are as tough as nails and will cut like a chain saw! Every facet of their construction has been over engineered to make them as strong, durable and effective as humanly possible. The blades are made out of AUS 8A stainless steel that's been vacuum heat treated and sub zero quenched, and the handles feature G-10 laminate scales, massively reinforced by heat treated steel liners and five locking bolts. Nihonto is another new Manufacturer and is located in Thailand.
They have been forging true Japanese carbon steel Katanas for decades.
The family run business has been forging swords for over 200 years
and they still conform to Japanese sword making standards. They
use high carbon Japanese steel and clay temper their blades in
a water quench. (not Oil) |
