Shinto Blade in Shirasaya - SH1094
For the avid swordsman wishing to create their own custom Samurai sword using
a quality Hanwei blade, these bare blades come in shirasaya, made
of hardwood, the shirasaya offers a great way to store the blade or you may choose
to just leave it as is. The blades are forged and differentially hardened the
same way as the “forged” and “forged & folded” swords offered by Hanwei. The
SH1094 has the same geometry as the Shinto Classic Blade and has become the standard
for cutting blades worldwide. This blade is ungrooved.
The
SH1231 folded
blade is the same blade used on the
Tiger
Katana and includes the grooves (bo-hi). The
SH1230 is
the same blade as the Tiger without grooves (bo-hi). This blade is NOT folded.
