This
katana is machine forged with Bo-Hi. The high quality Damascus steel
produces a strong, extremely durable blade.
The blade shape is Shinogi
Zukuri, the most common Nihonto (Japanese Sword) shape in Japanese sword making.
The blade is hand sharpened by experienced smiths to a very sharp
edge.
This Tsuba on this katana features a dragon that depicts a warrior sent from
heaven. The Tsuka is tightly wrapped with top quality black Japanese cotton
tsuka-ito, and authentic ray skin.
The Tsuka is also double
pegged for those heavy cuts. The saya is done in a
deep black lacquer and the sageo is also black Japanese cotton.
